This year we had the unique experience of raising monarch caterpillars with the kids and seeing their life cycle first hand. It was a fascinating process to watch, that likely captivated my wife and I more so than the kids! This also coincided with our kids return of the school year and the start of their weekend dance classes. They both had the fortune of receiving butterfly wings from the grand parents too. All of these things coupled with their joyful personalities inspired me to put this illustration together, which I hope comes through in the work. I don't have the time I use to for personal projects, but I have managed to squeeze this in over the last two months when the time allows for it.
